Ethan Hawke is a pretty good actor. Look at the work hes done in, say, the Sunrise-Sunset-Midnight trilogy or Training Day or Gattaca. Given the right material, this guy can shine. Too bad theres nothing for him to put his talent around in Getaway, a mindless celebration of mayhem, without a purpose.
